The Dean of the Romanian Patriarchate parish in Glasgow Father Marcel Oprisan visits Iceland on this weekend, when the Orthodox Churches, who use the Julian calendar, celebrate Feast of the Theophany of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We'll celebrate several services together according following schedule:
January 19, Sunday
Feast of the Theophany of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
10.00 - Divine Liturgy at St.Nicholas Church at Öldugata 44.
12.00 - The Great Blessing of water at St.Nicholas Church at Öldugata 44.
16.00 - The Blessing of Ocean and swimming in Ocean at Nauthólsvík beach (near Perlan).
Everyone is welcome to take part in these special services, celebrated in Romanian, Serbian and Church-Slavonic languages by father Marcel, father Timofey and deacon Nebojsa.
